Too often we mistake ‘happiness’ for ‘happenness’.
We happen to be happy. Something makes us happy.
It assumes that happiness is something external, falling on us randomly if only we are lucky enough.
It’s not true.
There is only one decision maker as concerns making you happy. And this decision maker is you.

Happiness becomes you.
There’s much more power in this statement that it seems at first sight.
- In the physical sense, when you’re happy, you look different (I mean better).
- In the emotional sense, when you’re happy, you feel different (I mean better).
- In the mental sense, when you’re happy, you think different (I mean better).

Happiness is a habit.
And if it is a habit you can decompose it and then put it back together. Like a toy. And if it is a toy, play with it.
A habit consists of four elements.
What are your happiness triggers?
Trigger is a stimulus that makes a habit happen. It’s something that makes you do something. Trigger launches the program of a habit.
What are your happiness triggers? What people, events, actions cause that you feel happy? Identify them. Make a written list. You will need those triggers to fire your happiness.

What is your happiness program?
Program is what you actually do as the habit.
What do you do when you are happy? Pay attention to what you think, what you feel, and what you experience physically (where in your body and how your happiness is “located”?).
What is your happiness reward?
Reward is something that you receive (or generate) as an immediate result of the action (program) that you take.
Well, it is happiness. The feeling good. These are all the sensations you described above. This is actually your direct motivator to search for your happiness triggers and run happiness program.
What is your happiness result?
Result is the (very often) long-term effect or outcome of repetitive application of the program. It means that if you continue your habit, after a certain time you will arrive to a certain outcome.
A happy, satisfied, fulfilled life, isn’t it?
