Today, I would like to share with you one simple method that will make your exercising easier.
I exercise every morning. Besides stretching, my routine consists of push-ups, squats and sit-ups. The extra habit that I installed is that every day I do one more push-up, squat and sit-up as compared to the previous day. That means that if yesterday I did 68 of each, today I will do 69. And so on.
Besides building strength, this method has a benefit of really extending my limits. But, I will tell you more about it on another occasion.
Today, I will share with you one trick that I apply in order to make this exercising stretch easier to do.
If you exercise, you know that last repetitions are the hardest. That’s actually where the effect is built. Still, when you count up, you mentally add additional stress as you count higher numbers along growing exercise pain.
What I decided to do is to reverse the counting. So instead of counting up, I am counting down. I start with my 69, then do 68, then 67 and so on. That means that I have high numbers when it’s light and low numbers when it’s hard. It helps 🙂
With the countdown, your finish line appears also more clear and definite. Therefore it is more motivating.
Try it out. Share your thoughts.
…and have a fabulous day 🙂
